About Me
As a Naturopathic Doctor, my practice is an extension of who I am — someone who embraces lifestyle medicine and is driven by curiosity, continuous learning, and a deep respect for the mind-body connection. I take a thoughtful, evidence-informed approach where clinical insight and personalized care come together to build a more complete understanding of your health.
TRAINING & APPROACH
Blending Science, Care & Curiosity
I’ve always been fascinated by the inner workings of both the body and the mind. Before becoming a Naturopathic Doctor, I completed an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Biology from the University of Waterloo, where I graduated magna cum laude. My interest in neuroscience led me to complete an honours thesis in visual cognition and earn a research grant from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).
That curiosity eventually drew me toward medicine that looks deeper, beyond individual symptoms to the details, patterns, and connections that emerge from a person's health history, laboratory findings, and overall clinical picture. I went on to complete my training at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in British Columbia and for over a decade I've continued to grow and refine my skill set to meet the spectrum of my patients' needs.
In addition to naturopathic medical training, I pursued advanced certifications in Clinical Hypnotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and Mental and Emotional Release® Therapy. This allows me to incorporate mind-body approaches when appropriate, particularly when stress, emotional patterns, habits, or behavioural factors are affecting a patient's health and well-being. I am one of the few Naturopathic Doctors in Canada with formal training in clinical hypnotherapy who integrates this work into practice.
Based in Kitchener-Waterloo, I practice 100% virtually and work with patients across Ontario and unregulated provinces to help them navigate complex health challenges with clarity and support. Together, we look at physical, emotional, environmental, and lifestyle factors to build an individualized strategy — not a template, not a protocol. This isn’t about handing you a plan; it’s about partnering with you to create sustainable change based on who you are and how you live.
My professional work is rooted in the same values that shape my personal life: growth, grit, and integrity. I’m a former varsity athlete, black belt martial artist, Boston Marathon qualifier, and Canada Winter Games gold medalist, and I bring that same commitment and tenacity into helping my patients redefine what’s possible for their own health.
My work and travels across the globe have deepened my respect for the uniqueness of each person’s lived experience, and the many ways culture, community, and belief shape health. These experiences have helped shape how I practice today: with curiosity, compassion, and a drive to help others rise above limitations — real or perceived — to feel more like themselves again.
I believe patients are best served by collaborative, integrative care. Every patient should have both an MD or NP and an ND, with each playing a distinct role in their healthcare. I welcome collaboration within the care team to help ensure care is cohesive, informed, and aligned.
